Philadelphia’s Most Comprehensive Free Community Cancer & Wellness Expo Returns for Its 3rd Annual Event

PHILADELPHIA, PA — With just two months remaining, the Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation announces the return of its 3rd Annual All Things Cancer + Wellness Expo, taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, 237 S. Broad Street.

This free, public event brings together healthcare professionals, advocacy organizations, survivors, caregivers, and community members for a full day of cancer education, health screenings, and wellness resources — all under one roof.

The Expo is designed to increase access to early detection services, culturally responsive education, and trusted cancer navigation resources across the Philadelphia region.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Two educational breakout sessions hosted by Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)
  • Expert-led panels and workshops on:
    • Cardio-Oncology
    • Health Equity & Access to Care
    • Patient and Care Team Navigation
    • Emotional Support for Survivors and Caregivers
    • Sexual Health and Wellness After Cancer
  • Free on-site screenings, including:
    • Full Body Skin Cancer Checks
    • Breast Screenings
    • Oral Cancer Screenings
    • Prostate Cancer Screenings
    • HPV Screenings
  • Hands-on wellness workshops including art therapy, chair yoga, sewing basics, bracelet-making, and children’s creative activities
  • Vendor exhibits, community resources, food, and live music

“We created this Expo to ensure families in our community have direct access to life-saving education and screenings in one place,” said Dr. Nia Imani Bailey, President of the Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation. “This event is about closing the care gap and empowering people with knowledge and support.”

Partner organizations include TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance; Blood Cancer United; Patient Advocate Foundation; Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation; Advanced Dermatology; Jefferson Health; Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center; Bexa Equity Alliance; and Manor College.
