Philadelphia, PA – October 1, 2024 – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with NOWINCLUDED to amplify breast cancer awareness and education throughout October. This collaboration will provide invaluable information on prevention, early detection, treatment options, and survivorship for diverse communities.
Together, Byrd Cancer Education & Advocacy Foundation and NOWINCLUDED will release a series of educational videos featuring stories from breast cancer survivors, including a male breast cancer survivor and individuals from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Some of these powerful stories will be available in Spanish, French, Tagalog, and Polish.
The campaign aims to engage communities often underrepresented in breast cancer discussions, including men and non-English-speaking populations. Additionally, the partnership will highlight unique survivor journeys, such as those of individuals with dense breast tissue or those diagnosed during pregnancy.
Both organizations encourage individuals to follow their social media platforms throughout October for educational content, survivor stories, and resources that can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
